Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Academic Coordinator to join our E-Learning Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and academic support to ensure the smooth delivery of online courses and programs. The Academic Coordinator will work closely with faculty members, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to coordinate academic activities, ensure quality standards, and enhance the overall learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and delivery of online courses and programs.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in course scheduling, enrollment, and grading processes.
- Maintain up-to-date records and databases related to academic programs and courses.
- Provide administrative support to faculty members, including course setup, materials preparation, and technical assistance.
- Coordinate faculty training and development programs to enhance online teaching skills.
- Facilitate communication between faculty members, instructional designers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements for online courses and programs.
- Conduct regular reviews of course materials, assessments, and evaluations to ensure academic integrity and quality.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to develop and implement quality assurance processes.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, including resolving course-related issues and concerns.
- Coordinate student evaluations, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with faculty members, instructional designers, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate academic policies, procedures, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of academic activities.
- Analyze data related to academic programs, courses, and student performance.
- Prepare reports and presentations to inform academic decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
Job Specification:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education, with a significant portion in academic leadership or management roles.
- Experience in E-Learning platforms, learning management systems, and online course development.
- Flexibility in working hours including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of instructional design and online teaching methods.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and eLearning platforms.
