Position Overview:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects including buildings, roads, water supply, drainage, and other development works. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of local construction practices, engineering codes, and project execution in the Pakistani context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and supervise civil works for infrastructure projects such as buildings, roads, water/sanitation systems, etc.
  • Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, technical drawings, and tender documents in accordance with NESPAK, PC-I, and local government requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Pakistan Building Code (NBC-2007), PEC guidelines, and other applicable laws.
  • Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, soil testing coordination, and quality inspections.
  • Supervise contractors and labor teams to ensure work is done according to specifications, timeline, and budget.
  • Review and verify structural drawings and ensure alignment with architectural and MEP designs.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for project stakeholders.
  • Liaise with government authorities (e.g., LDA, SBCA, WASA) for NOCs and approvals.
  • Implement safety standards and monitor site safety protocols.
  • Ensure environmental and sustainability considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a HEC-recognized university.
  • Valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in civil construction or infrastructure development projects in Pakistan.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, structural design, and site management.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Urdu.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with public-sector projects, donor-funded projects, or NGO-led infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction methods and climate-resilient design.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contract management (optional but preferred).
