Job description
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of the English language, a child-friendly approach, and a passion for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to students in Grades 1–5.
- Develop and deliver interactive and age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
- Encourage reading habits through engaging storytelling and phonics-based learning.
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (B.Ed. preferred).
- 2+ years of teaching experience at the primary level.
- Strong English communication skills – verbal and written.
- Creative, patient, and adaptable teaching approach.
- Familiarity with child-centered teaching methodologies and phonics.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to use technology in the classroom.
