Job description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our communications and outreach team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging and visually appealing designs that align with NJV School’s brand and messaging for internal and external communication, including social media, print materials, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create visual designs for marketing materials including brochures, banners, flyers, newsletters, presentations, and event branding.
• Develop digital content for social media platforms, website, and email campaigns.
• Collaborate with the communications and program teams to understand design requirements and produce compelling visuals.
• Maintain and evolve NJV School’s brand identity across all visual outputs.
• Edit and retouch photographs and videos when needed.
• Ensure consistency in layouts, typography, and color schemes.
• Assist in the conceptualization of creative campaigns and storytelling visuals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (experience in an educational or nonprofit environment is a plus).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
• Basic video editing and motion graphics skills are a strong advantage.
• Strong sense of design aesthetics, typography, and layout.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
