A Hall That Witnessed the Birth of a Nation

The Old Sindh Assembly Hall, located within the historic campus of NJV Government Higher Secondary School, is one of Pakistan’s most significant national heritage landmarks. The hall is a powerful symbol of the country’s early political history and its enduring connection with public education.

Constructed during the British colonial era, the Old Sindh Assembly Hall originally served as a legislative venue for formal assemblies and political deliberations. Most notably, in 1947, the hall was used for sessions of the first Constituent Assembly of Pakistan, making it a site of exceptional constitutional importance.
